BASINGSTOKE SINGER-SONGWRITER RELEASES NEW SINGLE “FIGHTER”
(Basingstoke, England) - Basingstoke singer-songwriter, Julie Ludgate, has announced the release of her latest single, “Fighter,” on September 30th, 2019. The single appears on her upcoming debut album, Breaking Barriers. For Julie, writing “Fighter” provided her an opportunity to reflect upon overcoming obstacles in her own journey.
“Fighter’ was written from personal experiences I’ve had in the past with bullying over my weight and negativity and trying to overcome the doubts and insecurities I experienced because of that,” she says. “I hope people listening to it will feel empowered by the song, and that they will find strength through the lyrics if they’ve had experiences of a similar nature.”
As part of the September 30th release, the single will hit all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon music, in tandem with the release of a lyric video on YouTube and other social media platforms. The single and music video will also be available via her official website.
“Fighter” appears on Julie’s debut album, Breaking Barriers, which is set to release on October 30th. The album was produced by Studio Pros in Los Angeles, California.
“I’m looking forward to releasing Breaking Barriers as it’s my first self-penned album, and the experience of sharing my thoughts with others like this is certainly stepping outside my comfort zone,” she admits. “The songs were written during different stages of my life, so it has come together over time, but it’s certainly exciting to see and hear the final result. I’ve also learnt a great deal through the process, both with my writing and having the songs produced in Los Angeles, so it’s been a really positive experience.”
